First up is an interview with Ken Levine of Irrational Games on BioShock Infinite. Xav and Levine talk storytelling, game mechanics, Irrational's plans for BioShock on PlayStation Vita, and the relief of finally getting a release date.

In part two, Ludwig talks with Tim Schafer of Double Fine about the roller coaster ride of its goal-smashing Kickstarter campaign, and the unexpected work that comes with such a large number of backers. Schafer also plays off his alleged recent proclivity for gigantic gold watches and custom-tailored suits.

The annual industry-focused trade show. DICE, kicked off last night with a keynote from Bethesda Game Studios' Todd Howard, but he's not the only industry veteran at the conference with insight into the inner workings of game development and publishing.

In this special DICE edition of The Joystiq Show, Alexander Sliwinski talks with Eat Sleep Play's David Jaffe about the imminent launch of Twisted Metal, his current status with the company, and his plans to move into next-gen and browser game development.

The second interview features IGDA Mobile SIG's Kevin Dent, the man responsible for shining the spotlight on THQ's business practices and potentially disastrous financial predicament several weeks ago. Dent joins Alexander to delve into the details of his public statements and motivations for why he spoke out.

Are you ready for some news? Of course you are, you're on Joystiq. But before news, the guys hit some of the games they've been playing, including the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, and the space sim throwback SOL: Exodus (did we mention it's $10?). In news, there are still a few more things to say about SOPA, Nintendo and THQ are struggling, Steam hits mobile, and a copy of Bastion goes abroad in physical form.

In the second segment, the 'Ol Joystiq Mailbag makes a return with Ludwig fulfilling his main task as Editor-in-Chief: reading emails and tweets.

Ah, 2012, don't you feel fresh? The Joystiq Show returns to its regularly scheduled programming, and this week it's back to a classic formula. Richard, JC, Alexander, and Ben hit the big stories of the week including the SOPA/PIPA roller coaster. A few games also get their time in the sun -- well, maybe in Amy's case "in the sun" doesn't quite work, but Puzzlejuice is pretty good!

The second part of the show features the New Kids on the Block(TM). Richard chats with Jess, Jordan, and Steven about their roles at Joystiq, and makes them justify why they are here. HR has been notified.
